About Marqt

In 2006, Marqt started an authentic delicatessen shop with high-quality tasty food, where provenance and enjoyment go hand in hand. Within a few years, Marqt had become a household name in Amsterdam and the surrounding area, with multiple stores and, in 2014, the launch of its own kitchen. The store attracted people for the tastiest bread, cheese, fresh fish, wine, and everything for pre-dinner drinks; for true gourmets!

With the advent of Marqt’s kitchen, chef-worthy meals and soups were sure to follow. Perfect for the home cook who has no time to cook today.

The Marqt chain merged with Ekoplaza to form Ekoplaza Foodmarqt. We made sure that all Marqt heroes became more widely available at Ekoplaza and other organic speciality stores under the Marqt brand. The entire range is now fully organic.

The tastiest fresh fish of the season, delicious seasonal meals and soups, and an extensive assortment of smoked fish and tapas. An exquisite finishing touch for any party. All those delicious convenience foods are complemented by pies and pizzas. We make fine dining easy – Marqt has already prepared it for you.

Pure, fresh, delicious and organic are the basic requirements. Ambitious? We don’t think so. Organic is always tastier. The best from land, sea and pasture, prepared with love, with respect for animals, the environment and people. Organic food with pure honest flavours without silly additives. Based on such concepts, we have continued to expand. In 2024, Marqt Keuken moved and expanded again, ready to make even more delicious meals, soups and treats.
