Marqt now offers salads in its assortment. They are freshly prepared in our own kitchen. The salads are made with ingredients also prepared in-house—such as vegetables we slice ourselves, dressings we create from scratch, or red onions we pickle by hand. This way, we deliver a delicious, freshly made salad with a minimum shelf life of four days.

Every day, Marqt’s talented chefs are ready to go in our brand new kitchen in Veghel, preparing delicious dishes! The kitchen is fully certified organic. Under the direction of Niek Smits and executive chef Jaap van der Schoof, a team of 12 cooks makes fresh soups and meals every day.

The Marqt kitchen enjoys seasonal and festive influences, offering items like a cheese board or a black truffle mushroom soup.
Marqt's kitchen
The Marqt kitchen is brand spanking new. Construction was completed in Veghel in 2024, completely tailored to Marqt’s dishes. For example, the water from the taps has an exact temperature of 4 degrees. This serves to allow the pasta to cool quickly, which prevents overcooked and sticky pasta.
The best ingredients locally
We always search for the best ingredients and when we find it locally that’s that’s our preference. Like the seaweed used in the tapenade comes from the Eastern Scheldt and is processed right away in Goes.
The pizza base, made in Italy, is left to rise for 24 hours before being topped with a sauce made from ripe Italian tomatoes.
However, the meat is local – it comes from Dutch pigs and is processed by a trusted partner in Brabant into a deliciously tender dry-cured chorizo and prosciutto ham. The meat is then hand-sliced and placed directly on the pizza. Because the meat is sliced fresh, the sausage and ham stay soft and tender for a long time.
Collaboration with Oh Na Mi
Marqt and Oh Na Mi are joining forces for a new, flavorful meal: Korean beef kimchi stew with rice noodles. Chef Jaap van der Schoof and Alex Kim Boyce have combined their passion for pure ingredients and authentic flavors. The result is a dish where slow-cooked beef, fresh vegetables, kimchi, and homemade gochujang come together perfectly. This collaboration reflects a shared mission: to let people enjoy honest, surprising flavors. In doing so, Marqt brings Korean cuisine closer to home—with a story you can taste in every bite.
A unique first: an organic tapas line
We are the only brand offering an organic tapas line. Based on mayonnaise or dips with yoghurt, which makes it nice and fresh, and also much less fatty.
Marqt is a fish specialist
We – and you – will never have to fish for compliments. We only work with partners who are as committed to fish as we are. We treat our fish like kings, resting on generous beds of ice in the Ekoplaza foodmarqt stores. We can prepare and/or fillet the fish at the counter, ready for your pan. Don’t have an Ekoplaza food marqt near you? Not to worry. We have some of that same fish prepared in portions. You can find packages and small portions in the chilled section. All you need to do is simply fry it on the skin. Now that’s we call shooting fish in a barrel.
