We treat our fish like kings, resting on generous beds of ice in the Ekoplaza foodmarqt stores. We can prepare and/or fillet the fish at the counter, ready for your pan. Don’t have an Ekoplaza food marqt near you? Not to worry. We have some of that same fish prepared in portions. You can find packages and small portions in the chilled section. All you need to do is simply fry it on the skin. Now that’s we call shooting fish in a barrel.

Every day, Marqt’s talented chefs are ready to go in our brand new kitchen in Veghel, preparing delicious dishes! The kitchen is fully certified organic. Under the direction of Niek Smits and executive chef Jaap van der Schoof, a team of 12 cooks makes fresh soups and meals every day.

The Marqt kitchen enjoys seasonal and festive influences, offering items like a cheese board or a black truffle mushroom soup.
Marqt's kitchen
The Marqt kitchen is brand spanking new. Construction was completed in Veghel in 2024, completely tailored to Marqt’s dishes. For example, the water from the taps has an exact temperature of 4 degrees. This serves to allow the pasta to cool quickly, which prevents overcooked and sticky pasta.

Taking advantage of each other's strengths
We take advantage of our partner’s strengths. For example, Klooster smokes the mackerel and Foodvision uses that to prepare the tastiest mackerel salad. The original recipe comes from the Marqt kitchen, where our chefs developed this salad and prepared it. Until the pans became too small when it became our tapas top seller.
A unique first: an organic tapas line
We are the only brand offering an organic tapas line. Based on mayonnaise – or yoghurt, which makes it nice and fresh, and also much less fatty.
